Job Details Total package amount $155,409.83 (singles) or $158,832.16 (Family) pro-rata 6 month contract OR permanent full-time position District Allowance of up to $6,111.30 Housing Allowance of up to $18,200.00 Short term accommodation provided Leave Loading of 17.5% Electricity Allowance paid over 10 summer pay periods $1,500.00 Annual Airfare provided for permanent employees Your role as the Midwife in this fantastic remote clinic will be to: Support early pregnancy assessment and care with GP involvement Provide a high level of clinical monitoring to pregnant women Promote breastfeeding and provide support Provide antenatal education to both mother, father and extended family Administration of vaccines as appropriate in pregnancy You will be living in the stunning Pilbara Region of Western Australia where you will truly experience a unique lifestyle and work environment surrounded by rich culture, tight-knit communities, and unforgettable landscapes. To be eligible for this position you must have: Full AHPRA registration with no restrictions Minimum two years experience working in a clinic or hospital setting, with ideally some experience in a remote area Experience in antenatal, postnatal and emergency care A demonstrated understanding of the issues and barriers that impact the health outcomes of Aboriginal women and babies.
